Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, a prominent figure within the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has stated that the party should not elect individuals who have failed in the Akufo-Addo administration to lead the party ahead of the 2024 elections.
During his campaign launch on Tuesday, the former Spokesperson for President John Agyekum Kufuor emphasized the importance of selecting candidates who can effectively address the challenges faced by the nation.
“I envision a Ghana that is economically robust and resilient, fiscally
responsible, socially cohesive, and fully accountable to the good people,” he said.
He indicated that the Ministries will be reconfigured to align with the constitutional Cap of 19 Cabinet to be assisted by an
an equal number of deputies in addition to the 16 in the regions making up a team of 54 if he is elected as NPP Flagbearer and subsequently becomes Ghana’s President.
According to the former Spokesperson for President John Agyekum Kufuor, Stakeholder consultations will be undertaken to introduce an upper limit of 9 Judges on the Supreme Court and possibly remove the retirement age of 70 and allow them serve until they are unable to perform their functions.
