Provost, College of Humanities and Legal Studies, University of Cape Coast, Prof. Kwame Osei Kwarteng says African Leaders calling for compensation is apt but their attitude towards systematic framework has been very appalling.

Prof. Kwame Osei Kwarteng continued that we can’t blame our forefathers to have engaged in slave trade.

“Had it not been slave trade, people who were sold could have helped their various African countries to develop,” he told Kwame Koranteng.

Speaking on Ama Ghana Morning Show on Time FM, the Provost said history reveals that slave trade has helped many white dominated countries to develop.

United Nations (UN) has to design criteria for divisions of the compensation amongst African countries because our ancestors were traditionalist and truthful, he added.
