Former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu, has been appointed to take over the State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA), as the Director-General .

His appointment which was under the directive of President Akufo-Addo and signed by the Executive Secretary to the President, Nana Asante Bediatuo was in fulfillment of the Section 17 (2) of the State Interests and Governance Authority Act, 2019 (990).

“I am please to inform you that the president has appointed you to act as the Director General of the State Interests and Governance Authority (“the authority”) pending receipt of the constitutionally required advice of the governing board of the authority given in consultation with the Public Service Commission” the statement read.

“I take this opportunity to congratulate you on your appointment. Kindly indicate your acceptance or otherwise of this appointment within 14 days of receipt of this letter,” Nana Bediatuo Asante requested. “Kindly accept the President’s best wishes,” he said.

John Boadu takes over from Hollistar Duah-Yentumi who has been acting as Director-General since November 20, 2023.
