“Kotoko Can’t Be Kotoko Again Until Manhyia Finances The Club” – Bright Kankam Boadu1 min read
Head of Sports for Pure FM, Bright Kankam Boadu aka BKB has urgently appealed for financial assistance from Manhyia to save Kumasi Asante Kotoko football club.
According to BKB, if the Porcupine Warriors are not financed by its owners it can’t compete at the highest level again.
“There is a fundamental problem at Kotoko which everybody is failing to say and it is not wrong to say. Kotoko can’t be Kotoko again until it is financed by the owner,” he said this when he appeared on Time FM Morning Show dubbed Ama Ghana.
He bemoaned that some big clubs in Europe are financed by the owners, unlike Asante Kotoko.
BKB said if Manhyia invests hugely in Asante Kotoko, and they have very qualified administrators, the team can attract every player in Ghana.
He said the Chief Executive Officer for Asante Kotoko, Nana Yaw Amponsah is doing a great job but there are some decisions he embarked on which he (BKB) wasn’t happy.
