Kumasi High School Plans To Construct Grand Monuments As It Launches 60th Anniversary On Saturday2 min read
Kumasi High School, a famous second cycle institution in Ashanti located in the Gyinyase Community of the Asokwa Municipality would be 60 years in 2024 since its establishment.
As part of programmes planned to commemorate this feat the school would officially launch the anniversary on Saturday, the 24th Day of June at 8:30am in the school’s campus.
With serious publicity about the event in the media, the School Headmaster, Mr Bernard Hall-Baidoo told this reporter that they would be expecting a great assembly of current as well as past students and headmasters as well as tutors.

The school, the Headmaster noted would be using Saturday’s event to unveil its official logo for the celebration.
He mentioned that the theme for the celebration would also be made known publicly at the launch.
Mr Hall-Baidoo also hinted that monuments the school intends to construct before the main celebration in June, 2024 would be unveiled.
The event, the Headmaster said would also be used to raise funds to properly undertake activities and projects for the school before the main celebration next year.
Some achievements:
For five continuous years, the Headmaster said the school had been on top of the West Africa Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (WASSCE) in Ashanti.
The school is currently the defending Champions of the Milo Inter Schools Football ⚽ Competition.
Kuhis, as the school is famously called in the academic circles is currently defending the trophy 🏆 it won as the best quiz school in Ashanti at the Luv FM High School Quiz Competition last year.
The School also gallantly competed and finished at the Semi-final stage of the National Science and Mathematics Quiz in 2022.
Speakers:
The launch is expected to be chaired by Mr Kwame Adom Frimpong, Chairman of the Public Interest and Accountability Committee (PIAC).
The Keynote address is to be delivered by Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, Minister for Education and Member of Parliament for Bosomtwe.
Professor Joseph Opoku-Buabeng, Consultant Ear and Throat Surgeon, KATH and School of Medical Sciences KNUST would deliver the special guest speaker’s adress.
These notable persons are all former students of Kumasi High School and are expected to bring life to the launch with their presence.

The school is preparing feverishly to receive its former students who have risen in all facets of life at the launch.
From Academia, Sports, Hospitality, Law, Politics, Transport, Aviation, Religious Affairs among others Kuhis students shine across the world.
Some of such persons expected to grace the launch are the Minister of Education, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, Henry Kokofu, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Lawyer Sampson Pobi, Private Legal practitioner, Samuel Boadu, Football Coach
Others are Rt Rev Prof J.O.Y Mante, Moderator of the Presbyterian Church, Rev Peter Owusu Mensah, Clergyman, Isaac Nketiah Sarpong Esq (Sapii), Lawyer and Financial Consultant as well as many others.
