Level 200 Law Student Dies Within 2 Minutes After An ‘Unidentified’ Injection At Ewim Polyclinic1 min read
According to reports, the student, Nana Obeng Owusu Junior, died instantaneously at around 19:00 hours on Monday after a nurse named Michael injected him with an undisclosed drug.
Mrs. Nelly Mills, the deceased’s mother, told the media that she sent her son to the hospital for first aid because he believed he required a nebulizer because he was an asthmatic patient.
“We arrived at the hospital around 8 p.m., and the alleged nurse, Mike, at emergency, asked us why we were there.” Later, I scribbled a medicine on the sheet for me to take, and when I left, Nana Obeng and his brother were cracking jokes. I found my son dead less than two minutes after purchasing the medication, and the nurse confirmed he was injected. “We came in for a nebulizer, not an injection, which you wrote for me to go buy,” the mother explained.
“Within 20 minutes after the death of her son, the hospital called an ambulance to send the body to the UCC mortuary without the consent of any family members, and I even asked them to release the body for me, but the hospital hesitated” ,
“We went to the mortuary right after only to find out my son was embalmed meaning it will be very difficult for even autopsy to prove the particular substance which killed my son” the mother went on to say.
Meanwhile, the management of the facility has asked the media to be circumspect in how they report on the matter.
According to them, the Police are currently investigating the matter.
