Majority Leader announces removal of Kwaku Kwarteng as Chairman of Finance Committee1 min read

Alexander Afenyo-Markin, the Majority Leader, has officially announced the removal of Kwaku Kwarteng, MP for Obuasi West, from his position as Chairman of the Finance Committee.

Reports indicate that Mr. Kwarteng will assume the role of Majority Spokesperson/Chairman of the Economy Committee under the revised standing orders. The Economy Committee, now separate from the Finance Committee, holds significantly less authority compared to its predecessor.
