Mid-year Budget Review: Government Has Done Well For Turning The Corner – Kumawu DCE1 min read
Kumawu District Chief Executive, Hon Samuel Addai Agyekum has stated that the government needs to be commended for turning around the economy.
While presenting the mid-year budget in Parliament on Monday, Ken Ofori-Atta said the government has turned the corner adding that the economy is back on track.
Hon. Addai Agyekum noted that every Ghanaian has contributed his or her part to the turnaround.
Speaking on Time FM’s Ama Ghana Morning Show, he dispelled rumours that the contractor fixing the Kumawu roads has left the site.
“The machines are on the road and work is progressing steadily,” he told Kwame Koranteng, the host.
Reacting to the comments by Hon. Addai Agyekum on the Kumawu roads on the same programme, the former Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister, Joseph Yamin said the DCE is peddling lies about the Kumawu roads.
Mr. Yamin told Kwame Koranteng that he recently plied the Kumawu road saying there is no contractor on site.
He said the NPP has exhibited impudence towards Asanteman for quite a long time but residents are not worried that’s why Hon. Addai Agyekum is creating a different picture.
