Mr Ibu’s Adopted Daughter Takes Over His Verified TikTok Account, Deletes His Videos Hours After Death

Jasmine Okafor, the adopted daughter of the late legend Mr Ibu, is under fire for allegedly changing the deceased’s 1.1 million TikTok followers to her name deleting all the late actor’s videos except the ones she featured in.

A check on the late actor’s Tiktok page on Sunday by mytimefm.com revealed that the account has now been renamed to @LadyJasminec_live.

It is unclear the reason behind her actions. However, it is worth noting that Mr Ibu’s adopted daughter opened the account for the actor some years ago and managed it on his behalf.

John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu died at the Evercare hospital in Lagos on Saturday, March 2 at age 62 after a long illness. His manager says he suffered a cardiac arrest on Saturday while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Lagos State, Nigeria.

The legendary actor has been battling health issues in October 2023, and undergone multiple surgeries that led to the amputation of his leg but received treatment and was discharged from hospital in early January this year. In October 2023, he came out publicly to seek financial assistance to treat his ailment.

Mr Ibu until his death was an indigene of Nkanu West Lagos of Enugu State. He is survived by wife and three children.
