MTN’s aYo Insurance Policy Pays Ghc14m Claims To 40,000 Beneficiaries<span class="wtr-time-wrap after-title"><span class="wtr-time-number">3</span> min read</span>

Mr. Francis Gota, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of aYo who disclosed this at an interaction with Journalists in Kumasi added that 8.2 million customers representing 25% of Ghana’s population have so far subscribed to the various products.

According to him, aYo is the most affordable insurance policy.”AYo is here to make people’s lives better for them to enjoy quality health. We’re targeting to cover about 20 million Ghanaians by the end of 2023″.

Francis Gota said the company capitalized on the growing market demand for insurance for the whole family to create the new Family Cover product.

He explained that one can gets up to Ghc 120 as hospital insurance cover and up to Ghc 6,000 as Life Insurance cover anytime they recharge their airtime. Simply dial *296# to sign up now.

For the claims payment, he said it is also simple because one can simply dial *296#, select option 7 claims and follow the prompts or visit app.ayo4u.com to make a claim”.

Touching more on the new product, he said the policy gives a subscriber extra Life and hospital insurance cover for themselves and 3 family members”.

He explained that the newly launched product which is the first of its kind in the competitive Ghanaian insurance industry allows policyholders to add up to six people including themselves to enjoy the benefits of the product.

Mr Gota added that the product would also allow customers or policyholders to insure six family members between the ages of one and 69 on both life and hospitalization cover at a premium of GH¢15 each per policy, for a maximum of GH¢300 hospitalization benefit per night for each family member.

Aslo, policyholders and family members each get a maximum of GH¢15,000 life cover. Insured lives on the policy remain covered up until the age of 80, the CEO stated.
