Nana Addo’s Seven-Year Tenure Has Been a Waste of Time and Resources – Mustapha Gbande1 min read
Mustapha Gbande, the Deputy General Secretary of the NDC, has bluntly declared that President Nana Addo’s seven-year term has amounted to nothing but a squandering of time and resources for the nation.
Mustaphe Gbande asserted that under Nana Addo’s leadership, Ghana has failed to witness any significant positive transformation, leaving behind a legacy devoid of accomplishments.
In a candid interview on Time FM’s Ama Ghana Morning Show, Mustapha Gbande emphasized that the damage inflicted by President Akufo Addo on the country’s governance will require a lengthy period of around two decades to rectify.
According to him, Nana Addo’s administration has left a trail of destruction that will take considerable time and effort to rebuild the credibility of governance in Ghana.
The comments from the NDC’s Deputy General Secretary follow President Akufo-Addo’s recent caution to Ghanaians during a small rally in Doboro, Greater Accra region, advising against supporting the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer in the upcoming 2024 General Election.
According to Akufo-Addo, former President, John Mahama is not happy with everything he does and will destroy the work he has done in the last eight years if he is elected President.
In a response, John Dramani Mahama pledged not to follow in President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s footsteps if elected President in the upcoming general elections.
In a social media post, Mr. Mahama stated that he would not continue President Akufo-Addo’s legacy because the President would be leaving behind a negative legacy that is not worthy of emulation.
“Of course, I will not protect your ‘legacy’ of corruption, misgovernance, arrogance, ineptitude, bankrupt economy, increased unemployment, and pushing more of our people into the poverty bracket,” Mr Mahama’s post said.
