NAPO is a competent unifier – Justin Frimpong Kodua

Justin Frimpong Kodua, General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has praised Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO), the party’s newly endorsed running mate for the 2024 elections, highlighting his competence across various fields and his role as a unifying figure within the party.

During the NPP National Council meeting on Thursday, July 4, NAPO, who currently serves as the Energy Minister and MP for Manhyia South, received unanimous approval as the running mate to Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia. The gathering was attended by current executives, former General Secretaries, past chairmen, and other influential figures within the party.

Frimpong Kodua emphasized NAPO’s credentials as a seasoned politician who has excelled in multiple domains, expressing full confidence in his capacity to lead the party effectively in the upcoming election. He underscored NAPO’s ability to foster unity and cohesion within the NPP ranks.

Osei Bonsu Amoah, Deputy Campaign Manager for Parliamentary Elections and MP for Akuapim South, dismissed allegations of arrogance against NAPO, attributing his success to humility. He asserted that NAPO’s humility has been instrumental in his ascent to leadership and positioned him favorably compared to his NDC counterpart, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, in the realm of politics.
