NDC Won Assin North By-election With Lies – Richard Ahiagba1 min read
The Communications Director for the New Patriotic Party(NPP) Richard Ahiagba claims that the opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC) won the Assin North by-election with propaganda.
According to Mr Ahiagba, the NDC has changed for the worst.
Speaking on the Friday edition of Ama Ghana Morning Show, Mr Ahiagba said the campaign message of the NDC was lies.
He said the Assin North voters fell in love with the NDC propaganda and gave them sympathy votes.
“NDC won but not in a good way. They won with lies and it shouldn’t be tolerated,” he told the host Kwame Koranteng.
At the end of the by-election on June 27, 2023, Mr Quayson polled 17,245 votes representing 57.56 per cent of the total votes cast to beat Charles Opoku of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), and Bernice Enyonam Sefenu of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG).
Charles Opoku polled 12,630 votes representing 42.15 per cent of the total votes cast in the hotly contested by-election while the LPG’s Bernice Enyonam Sefenu polled a paltry 87 votes (0.29%).
