NPP Elect Parliamentary Candidate For Kumawu By-election Today<span class="wtr-time-wrap after-title"><span class="wtr-time-number">1</span> min read</span>

Voting is currently underway for the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP) to elect a Parliamentary candidate for the Kumawu by-election slated for 23rd May 2023.

419 delegates, drawn from 25 electoral areas gathered at the Philip Basoah Community Center at Besoro, to cast their ballot.

Five candidates are contesting the parliamentary slot.

They are, Ama Serwaah, Dr. Da-costa Aboagye, Ernest Yaw Anim, Kwame Appiah Kubi, and Osei Bempah Hwerehwere.

Three aspirants, Philip Banor, Lawyer Edward Kofi Osei, and Opanin Yaw Baah, earlier withdrew from the contest.

Party stalwarts advised delegates and candidates to accept the outcome of the elections in the interest of peace.
