NPP Has Performed Better Than NDC In All Sectors – Bawumia1 min read
Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer, highlighted the superior performance of the Akufo-Addo-led government compared to the opposition NDC during its seven years in power.
Speaking at a mini-rally in Kwahu, Dr. Bawumia enumerated several policies to defend his assertion and to make a case for why he should be the next president.
The event, attended by hundreds of party faithful, party stalwarts, bigwigs, and national executives, featured a walk from Bepong to Mpreaso, creating a charged atmosphere as various speakers addressed the crowd.
Food and Agriculture Minister Bryn Acheampong pointed out that food inflation had reduced from 61 percent to 27 percent, suggesting an improving economy.
He also reiterated his previous remarks about not handing over power, stating, “I want to repeat my words here to the NDC, as I did last year, we will not hand over power to them today or tomorrow.”
Dr. Bawumia, echoing Acheampong’s sentiments, emphasized the government’s accomplishments in various sectors, including job creation, agricultural and industrial growth, trade balance, education, Zongo development, digitalization, fish landing sites, and the court system.
He criticized the opposition’s performance, stating, “Everyone is a witness we have performed better…he wants to be voted for yet he had 20 percent against my 70 percent—that is Akonfem mathematics.”
