Independent Body Should Make A National Plan For Entertainment Industry – Okyeame Kwame1 min read

Kwame Nsiah-Apau known by his stage name Okyeame Kwame and nicknamed Rap Doctor has called for an independent body to make a national development plan for the entertainment industry.

Okyeame Kwame said if the scheme is made by the independent body, every political party that will capture political power should implement it.

According to Okyeame Kwame, who appeared on Time FM’s Ama Ghana Morning Show, if a plan is implemented for the entertainment industry it will boost the country’s economy.

He revealed that a 40-year national development plan which had culture, tourism and creative arts as part of the plan was made by NDPC some years ago but couldn’t be implemented due to political will.

“We need a plan for the creative arts, tourism, and entertainment industries. If we get goals and stay ffocusedand we start to shoot movies at the tourist sites, it will attract people to visit,” he stressed.

Okyeame Kwame suggested that foreigners and flights coming to Ghana should be made to pay tourism tax to get money to develop the sector.
