Accompanying her were various NPP executives from the Ashanti Region, including Regional Organizer Francis Adomako, Regional Youth Organizer, Raphael Sarfo Patrick, Regional Women’s Organizer, Nana Ama Ampomah, Asokwa Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Akwanuasa Gyimah, CEO of Ghana Gas, Mr. Ben Asante, Constituency Chairman, Ofosu Nkrumah, and Regional Communication Director Paul Kwabena Yandoh, among others.
Speaking to the party supporters after the walk, affectionately known as Sompahemaa, Hon. Patricia Appiagyei. emphasized the challenging nature of the upcoming general election. She stressed the NPP’s determination to break the eight-year political cycle, urging constituents to vote massively for both her and the party’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, to make this agenda a reality.
Sompahemaa encouraged supporters to engage in door-to-door campaigning, highlighting the achievements of the current government both locally and nationally.
“Asokwa has seen significant development projects, and there’s potential for more under Dr. Bawumia’s presidency and with me as the constituency MP,” she asserted.
She appealed for unity among party members, citing it as crucial for achieving their goals.
The Asokwa Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Akwanuasa Gyimah, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the strides made in the constituency under the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration.
Nana Ama Ampomah, the Regional Women’s Organizer, expressed confidence in Sompahemaa’s candidacy, envisioning her as the first female Majority Leader in Parliament with the party’s support.
However, she stressed the importance of continued support from party members to realize this goal.
Ofosu Nkrumah, the Constituency Chairman, expressed hope for Dr. Bawumia’s presidency and urged supporters to focus on door-to-door campaign and refrain from social media campaign, emphasizing the tangible projects completed by the government.
