The stage was set after seven weeks of fierce competition among 14 schools in the Perfect Star Media and Perfect Grade Publications and Stationery Basic Schools Assessment Contest, culminating in an electrifying final showdown.

Held in a vibrant hall buzzing with excitement, the finals featured five distinguished institutions: Unique Educational Complex, Legacy International School, Mamprobi Salvation Army Basic School, Reverence Preparatory School, and Eldia Montessori School.

The venue dazzled with colorful banners as proud parents, enthusiastic teachers, and eager students filled the seats.

When the results were announced, Unique Educational Complex from Konongo Low Cost took the crown with an impressive 274 points, followed closely by O.A. Legacy International with 269 points and Eldia Montessori School at 253 points.

Mamprobi Salvation Army Basic School secured fourth with 247 points, while Reverence Preparatory School rounded out the top five with 239 points.

In an exclusive interview with Time News, the proprietress of Unique Educational Complex, Mrs. Agyemang Duah, expressed gratitude to God for their victory and praised Pastor Philip Sarpong for organizing the initiative.

She commended her ‘dedicated’ teachers for their commitment to student development and acknowledged the hard work of the learners, affirming that their efforts had paid off.

Mrs. Agyemang Duah emphasized that winning the maiden edition doesn’t mean they will rest on their laurels; instead, they are determined to work even harder for future competitions.

She encouraged all basic schools to participate, believing that broader involvement will enhance the competition’s quality.

She highlighted that the contest was not merely a traditional quiz focused on rote answers, but rather a test of critical thinking skills.

Teachers from Unique Educational Complex credited their victory to divine guidance, declaring, “This win is just the beginning; we aim for 300 points next time!” They proudly asserted, “The only school in Ghana is Unique Educational Complex,” attributing their success to God’s grace.

Meanwhile, teachers from non-winning schools committed to reflecting on their performance and returning stronger next year.

Some learners from Unique Educational Complex celebrated their win, expressing confidence in their ability to repeat the feat.

Learners from other schools expressed their commitment to preparing thoroughly for the next edition.

They encouraged those schools that did not participate to join next year, emphasizing the value of the competition.

Pastor Philip Sarpong, CEO of Perfect Star Media and Perfect Series Publications, praised the contestants for their determination and resilience, sharing that the experience, although not profitable, inspired him deeply.

He called on all basic schools to join the competition next year, urging stakeholders in education to support and uplift learners in their endeavors.

“If you believe in your school and your learners and your resources join the contest,” he said.

Learners from other schools expressed their commitment to preparing thoroughly for the next edition.

They encouraged those institutions that didn’t take part to join next year, highlighting the value of the competition.

Special Awards

Several schools and students received special recognition for their outstanding contributions to the contest.

Glitters Stars Academy was the first basic school to express interest in the competition and was honored with an award.

Five schools, which demonstrated average performance during the auditions, also received accolades:

  • Unique Educational Complex

  • Bosomtwe STEM Academy

  • Reverence Preparatory School

  • Eldia Montessori School

  • Queennamies Montessori School

Mamprobi Salvation Army Basic School was acknowledged for presenting the highest number of participants in the auditions and received an award for this achievement.

The Inspirational Award went to a visually impaired learner, Noble Dwomor, from Bosomtwe Stem Academy.

In the basic four category, Osei Yaw from Unique Educational Complex emerged as the top performer.

Asantewaa Gyamera Antwi from O.A. Legacy International excelled in basic five, while Harrison Owusu Dwamena from Konadu Educational Complex took the lead in basic six.

Mrs. Florence Ammissah from Mamprobi Salvation Army was honored with the award for presenting the most learners.

NaCCA received recognition for serving as the cornerstone of the contest.
