Police Deny Rumors of Secret Recruitment at Kumasi Training School1 min read
The Ghana Police Service has refuted rumors suggesting that a covert recruitment drive is taking place at the Kumasi Police Training School in the Ashanti region.
In a Facebook update on Wednesday, the police explained that a special operation was conducted in Kumasi on Monday, September 2, resulting in the arrest of 487 suspects linked to the QNET Ponzi scheme. Due to the high number of suspects, they were temporarily taken to the training school for further screening as part of the ongoing investigation.
During this period, members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) arrived at the school, alleging a secret recruitment was underway. However, after confirming that these claims were unfounded, the NDC members left the premises.
The police have advised the public to ignore these baseless rumors and dismiss them as false.
