Reverend Dr Douglas Okonah Frimpong and Reverend Yaw Owusu Acheaw, two pioneers of the famous Faith Convention, an assemblage of men and women of God to abide in prayer and the teaching of God’s word have asked the youth to put the faith they have in Christ to work.

Speaking at the Super Weekend drive show on Spirit Fm to Mykel Dasilva, host of the programme,  the veteran preachers recounted how they as youth turned their faith into action and have from that time kept their trust in the Lord.

Reverend Owusu Acheaw said that in September 1971 he had an encounter with God and was impressed upon to start what has now become known as the Faith Convention.

He noted that the aim of such an initiative was to gather men and women of God to pray and dissect the word of God every year.

Details:
Throwing more light on their journey as Christians, Rev Dr Okonah Frimpong said their encounters with the renowned TL Osborne,  Morris Cerrulo, Reinhard Bonnke and many others had strengthened their faith.

Such relationships with the right people who fear God,  Rev Frimpong stated encourages one to stay strong in the Lord by acting out faith.

From the beginning stages of Faith Convention which has now become a yearly affair, Rev Owusu Acheaw said men and women of God in ministry have been sharpened due to the impact that come during such meetings.

Rev Okonah Frimpong noted that an encounter with Reverend Alfred Nyamekye of the House of Faith Ministries, the late Pastor Ola Akin of the Apostolic Church had strengthened the Faith Convention initiative.

Advice:
Both preachers advised the youth who have the fear of God in them to stay true to the course of their faith.

Reading the Bible, praying and telling others about Christ Jesus, they noted,   would ensure that they become firm in the Lord.

The Christian Faith, both veteran preachers posited was a living one since its source was from Christ Jesus who lives forever.

Acting out this faith in Christ, they stated would mean doing the work and carrying out the mandate the Lord enjoins Christians to undertake.

Background:
This year’s Faith Convention brought together seasoned men of God including Dr Michael Boadi Nyamekye, Prophet Akwasi Agyemang, Rev Alfred Nyamekyeh, Bishop Quaye, Rev Douglas Okonah Frimpong and Rev Yaw Owusu Acheaw.

The convention which started on the 23rd of July ended on Sunday, the 30th of July, 2023 at the House of Faith Ministries Headquarters in Kumasi.
