Renaming of National Council of Parent-Teacher Association To Parents Association Needs More Clarification – All Teachers Alliance To GES1 min read

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has come under fire for reportedly renaming the National Council of Parent Teacher Association (PTA) to Parents Association (PA).

Isaac Ofori, Chairman of All Teachers Alliance has called for an explanation from GES on the renaming of PTA to PA.

In an interview on the Ama Ghana Morning Show on Time FM 97.7MHz, Mr Ofori said the GES should provide more clarification on the decision

He told the host, Nana Kwabena Ampratwum that the decision by GES implies that parents will now have no direct connection with teachers to articulate the welfare of their wards .
