The Electoral Commission (EC) has clarified that it will release the updated provisional voter register (PVR) within two weeks or sooner, countering the National Democratic Congress (NDC)’s claim that it would be available within a week following the recent Inter-party Advisory Committee meeting on October 1.

In a statement on October 8, the EC emphasized that its Chair, Jean Mensa, never specified a one-week timeline for the revised PVR.

Instead, she clearly stated during the televised meeting that the updated register would be provided to political parties and posted online within two weeks or earlier.

The EC urged clarity, asserting that the NDC’s interpretation of the timeline was incorrect.
