Samira Bawumia, Wife of the Vice President has appealed to NPP delegates in Ashanti to vote massively for her husband, Dr Mahamodu Bawumia on November 4th.
Such endorsement, she noted would show the world that the NPP believes in the capabilities of the Vice-President.
Addressing delegates drawn from Manhyia North and South, Asawase and Nhyiaeso at True Vine Hotel, the Wife of the Veep said the NPP needed a competent, peaceful and inspiring leader at this time to break the two term governance cycle the party has enjoyed.
“On November 4, I appeal to you to show Dr Bawumia great support by voting massively for him so that it sends a signal that we are united behind him for the 2024 elections”, Mrs Samira appealed.
Assurances:
Mrs Samira promised to ensure that the welfare of members of the party especially women are adressed thoroughly.
She noted that some members ot the party were still unemployed, adding that those issues were dear to her heart.
Mrs Samira therefore promised to lead the discussion to finding a solution to same.
“I am sure you all know how passionate i am to issues of employment because i believe a working person has the potential to contribute meaningfully to the development of the country and i want to assure you that your concerns would be mine too when by God’s grace we record a decisive victory in the upcoming 2024 elections”, the Veep’s wife stated.
Majority Leader:
On his part, Hon Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and MP for Suame encouraged the delegates to vote en bloc for Dr Bawumia.
He noted that the Vice President had in him every potential to lead the NPP better than any of the aspirants.
“Leadership is both skill and art and fir me Dr Bawumia has learnt both very well to chart a good path for the party ahead of the 2024 general elections”, the Majority stressed.
Women’s Organiser:
Nana Ama Ampomah, Ashanti Regional Women’s Organiser and Dean of Regional Women Organisers in NPP asked the delegates to show support to Dr Bawumia.
She noted that the Veep by his attitude and mannerisms had shown he is focused and capable of leading NPP to win a third consecutive victory at the polls in 2024.
“Let’s work with a good heart for Dr Bawumia and ensure that we campaign these last days for him so he can win massively and lead our party to victory in 2024”, Madam Ampomah stated.
