The Ghana Police Service, Ghana Prisons Service, and Ghana Immigration Service have announced that they are now accepting applications from individuals who applied for recruitment in 2021.
Beginning today, Wednesday, August 7, 2024, the Ghana Police Service invites qualified Ghanaian applicants to apply for positions, including General Duty Recruits and Graduate General Duties. Those who applied in 2021 should send their details—such as full name, date and place of birth, reference number, current contact information, previous screening center, and qualifications—to recruitment@police.gov.gh by Tuesday, August 13, 2024.
Applicants must be Ghanaian by birth, possess good character, and have no criminal record. They should be between 18 and 28 years old, physically and medically fit, and hold at least five SSCE/WASSCE passes, including Mathematics and English, as of December 1, 2021. Height requirements are 5 feet 8 inches for males and 5 feet 4 inches for females.
Similarly, the Ghana Immigration Service is reopening recruitment for 2021 applicants. Interested individuals should send their details to recruitment@immigration.gov.gh by the same deadline, meeting the general requirements set forth by the service.
The Ghana Prisons Service is also seeking candidates for various roles, including General Duty Recruits, Tradesmen Recruits, Sportsmen/women Recruits, General Duty Graduates, and Graduate Professionals. Applicants should email their information to recruitment@ghanaprisons.gov.gh by August 13, 2024. Requirements include being a Ghanaian by birth, having a clean record, and meeting height and age criteria. The age range varies slightly, with a maximum of 33 years for most positions and 25 years for sports recruits.
All three services stress that they are equal opportunity employers and caution against using middlemen or agents, as such actions are at the applicant’s risk and may lead to legal consequences.
The deadline for all submissions is Tuesday, August 13, 2024. Applicants are reminded to ensure that their information is accurate and that all certifications are valid. Note that physical submission of application forms will not be accepted.
