Select Committed Players For 2023 AFCON – Coach Frimpong Manso Urges Chris Hughton 1 min read
Bofoakwa Tano FC Coach Frimpong Manso has appealed to Black Stars head coach, Chris Hughton to select players who are committed and willing to sacrifice for the National team, Black Stars in the upcoming 2023 African Cup of Nations tournament.
Coach Frimpong Manso’s statement comes at the back of the Black Stars’ 2-0 defeat to Mexico and 4-0 defeat to the USA in the international friendly games.
In an interview with MC Jojo Addison on Time FM 97.7Mhz Sports Brief said some players are committed and ready to sacrifice for the nation but don’t secure a call-up.
“These current Black Star players are not committed and not willing to sacrifice for the nation. they play as a division two side and can’t even defend balls,” he said
He noted that it is time Ghanaians criticize the Black Stars players vehemently and not blame Chris Hughton for the poor performance.
Coach Frimpong Manso said if the players are committed and play with passion, Black Stars will return to its glory days.
The Former Black Stars and Asante Kotoko legend was quick to say that if the players continue to exhibit a lackadaisical attitude the team will continue to linger in the wilderness.
