Hon Kennedy Osei Nyarko, Chairman of Parliament Select Committee on Roads and Transport has commended JUSTMOH Construction Limited for undertaking quality work at the Boankra Integrated Logistics Terminal.

Adressing the media after a tour of the site where an over 300 Million dollars Inland Port is being constructed to deal with shipping and other landlocked matters, Hon Nyarko said the committee had been impressed with the quality of work by the contractor.

He however asked the Ministry of Transport through the Ghana Shippers Authority (GSA) to keep an eye on the project so that it can be executed to meet the deadline of 2026.

“I must confess that the committee is very impressed with the quality of work by JUSTMOH Construction Limited and we pray that it continues same way so that we can deliver the best to the Ghanaian people”, the Chairman stated.

Other Issues:
Hon Osei Nyarko said the committee was aware that there was an initial contractor who was working on the project.

He however stated that despite several attempts to get it to mobilise and get to commence the project it failed to do so.

The Chairman said JUSTMOH Construction Limited, the new contractor had shown seriousness having gone through all the procurement and other procedures to come to the site.

“We’ve asked the aggrieved party to provide documentations that warrant any hearing so that Parliament can get the Attorney-General and other related agencies to deal with the issues they may have but for now we are fully dependent on JUSTMOH Construction to deliver to us quality work and by 2026 we will come to commission this project”, the Chairman intimated.

Ghana 🇬🇭  Shippers Authority (GSA):
Dr John Bernard Yorke, Director at the Boankra Integrated Logistics Terminal Project from the Ghana Shippers Authority (GSA) told newsmen that when completed the project would become a game changer in logistics transportation.

He commended the Parliamentary Select Committee for visiting to inspect the project and to see things on the ground for themselves.

Contractor:
Speaking to the media, Dr Justice Amoh, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of JUSTMOH Construction Limited said he was committed to delivering quality project in 2026.

He conceded that as a show of patriotism he had to accept a downward review of the project contract from 330 million dollars to the current rate of 308 million dollars.

“I thank the Parliamentary Select Committee for coming to see things for themselves and asking all the relevant as well as necessary questions so that the Ghanaian people would know that their monies were being expended for a good course”, Dr Amoh stressed.
