Taxi Unions Pledge Support For Frema Opare As NPP Running Mate.

Taxi Unions and members numbering over 100 operating at the race course and Bantama markets are calling on the leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as well as the party’s flag-bearer to select Madam Akosua Frema Osei Opare as running mate for the upcoming presidential election.

At a press conference Thursday morning, spokesperson for the Unions, Agya Appiah said so far the Chief of Staff is someone who has shown all the leadership qualities they would want to see in a running mate.

According to the spokesperson, Madam Opare possesses positive traits and qualities such as humanitarianism, kindness, care and competence.

“As unions we believe anyone who should be selected as running mate for the NPP, the party of our choice should be someone who possesses qualities that would make our living conditions pleasant and we find these traits in Madam Akosua Frema Osei Opare”, the spokesperson stated.

Activities:
The group spokesperson said the unions have also seen the good works of the Chief of staff in their area of operation.

He said the very place they ply their trade was made comfortable for them by the Chief of Staff.

According to him, when the Chief of Staff learnt about their working conditions, she dispatched a team to work on the grounds to make it motorable.

“We are convinced that Madam Frema Opare would be the best person who would look for the good of the Ghanaian people because we are witnesses to her good deeds and kindness”, Agya Appiah stressed.

Appeal:
The spokesperson reminded the NPP that the upcoming elections was a crucial one.

This, he noted, makes it imperative for them choose the best running mate who could competently partner with the party’s flag-bearer to win the elections.

He stressed that Madam Frema Opare has an untainted character and has displayed massive competence as Chief of Staff for nearly eight years.

“Our appeal this morning is to the NPP leadership and its flag-bearer to ensure they choose someone whose trademark can make it easy for the party to win the upcoming presidential election and for us we see Madam Frema Opare towering beyond others whose names have been mentioned”, the spokesperson stated.
