Technical And Vocational Education Is The Way To Go As A Country—Asantehene1 min read
The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has said technical and vocational education (TVET) should be the focus of Ghana to reduce graduate unemployment in the country.
According to him such behaviour must change, and there should be a fresh start where Ghana would begin to produce such products in Ghana.
Speaking to members of the Association of Automobile Artisans Ghana( Auto Gh) in Manhyia Palace, Asantehene encountered the youth to venture into Vocational and technical education.
The members of the Association of Automobile Artisans of Ghana were in the palace to celebrate Awukudae with the King and also inform him of their second anniversary celebration in Kumasi.
The members of the association include mechanics, electricians and other Artisans in the country.
They are responsible for the repairs of imported cars like Toyota Land Cruiser, Benz, and others.
Asantehene, Otumfour Osei Tutu II further added that it is about time the country braced up to encourage itself by taking technical and vocational education seriously to help foster development, rather than the over concentration on grammar education.
The National Chairman of the Association of Automobile Artisans, Mr James Arhin( Biggie 4REAL) , said artisans have a role to play in National development.
He touched on their role in the industry.
