Ghana’s First Private University and First to Charter, Valley View University (VVU) is committed to its Value Based Education since 43 years and still championing.
According to the Kumasi Campus Rector, Prof Winfred Ofoe Larkotey, VVU goes beyond the normal teaching as a University to impart quality skills to mould its students.
Speaking at a media interaction at the Kumasi Campus, he explained that VVU empowers students with technical capacity, physical and social abilities plus spiritual build up.
“At VVU we believe in education for eternity.Come to Valley View, pass, graduate, work and we build you up for eternity”, he assured.
Prof Ofoe Larkotey bemoaned that corruption is rife in the country because perpetrators are educated and fully networked.
These sets of people, he explained, are also quick to be rich and hence lack the moral values and principles but stressed that graduates from VVU are technically excellent to deliver.
“Our graduates do not cheat nor engage in corrupt practices.Morally, physically and ethically they are trained to deliver diligently at work.Employers have the needed courage in our graduates, he defended.
The Vice Rector of the Kumasi Campus, Mrs. Phyllis G. Van-Ess chronicled how the 43-year old journey of VVU has been.
She reiterated that with commitment and passion, the University conquered all odds to rise to the top and coupled with its excellent and crucial values, it will never relent in efforts of achieving excellence in education and moulding of spirited graduates for the society.
Mrs. Phyllis G. Van-Ess specified the importance of the media and the role it will play to enhance and propagate the goodwill of the premiere private University.
”We know your clouts as a media entity and we believe this interaction will solidify our relationship,” she emphasized.
