Embattled National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary candidate for Assin North by-election, James Gyakye Quayson has said that the development of the constituency is at his heart hence his intention to contest the imminent by-election.
Mr Gyakye Quayson added that he is concerned about the unemployment situation among the youth in the Assin North constituency.
Addressing NDC supporters and executives after a ‘Walk’ he said the 2020 election was comedy.
“The 2020 election was comedies. Woe betides ‘yaanom’ to bring any candidate to face me, I will give him an uppercut.
He urged the NDC supporters and executives to drop the ‘burger’ tag and call him an old soldier.
The electoral commission has slated 27th June 2023, for the by-election after the Supreme Court ordered Parliament to expunge Mr Gyakye Quayson’s name from its records.
