Former Attorney-General and Minister for Justice under President Agyekum Kufuor’s government, Nii Ayikoi Otoo has sarcasticised that money cannot change the mindset of the NPP delegates not to vote for Alan Kyerematen to be the party’s flagbearer.

According to Ayikoi Otoo, Alan Kyerematen is the man the ruling party needs.

Speaking with Kwame Koranteng on Ama Ghana Morning Show, he said the NPP needs a new face for the 2024 general election.

He indicated that the atmosphere of Alan Kyerematen’s campaign is a clear indication that the former Minister of Trade and Industry has a huge chance of becoming the NPP flagbearer.

The former Attorney General said money is not a problem to stop Alan Cash as Alan Kyerematen is widely known for campaigning.

“In the campaign, some NPP members told us things are not going well and we had to ginger them.”

According to Ayikoi Otoo, since Alan Kyerematen embarked on his campaign, the NPP spirit is back.

He said they have appealed with the delegates to remain focused.
