VIDEO: Allegations Dr John Kumah Died Of Food Poisoning Is Propaganda Against Napo - Akwasi Nti

Former Fomena Constituency Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Akwasi Nti has said that allegations by a journalist that the late Deputy Finance Minister, Dr. John Ampontuah Kumah died of poison is a propaganda against the Energy Minister and Member of Parliament for Manhyia South, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh better known as Napo for the running mate position.

The accusations, according to Chairman Akwasi Nti, are part of a plot to undermine Napo.

Speaking with Nana Kwabena Ampratwum on Time FM’s Ama Ghana Morning Show, he declared that Napo is the Ashanti NPP’s only hope and that he is qualified to be Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s running mate.

He claimed that the ruling party’s course has shifted. Chairman Akwasi Nti claims that certain individuals have infiltrated the NPP and twisted the party’s goals and objectives.

“I am not against Wontumi. We strolled together for twelve years. I assisted him in becoming the Ashanti NPP Chairman by bringing him into the NPP. I will stop scolding Wontumi if he changes, and we will not let him ruin the NPP.”

According to the former Chairman of Fomena, Dr. Bawumia is too strong to let Chairman Wontumi select his running mate.
