Ghana Bar Association (GBA) has asked a former justice of the Supreme Court, William Atuguba to support his call for a change of the Judicial Council composition with reasons.

During a public lecture at the University of Ghana on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, Justice Atuguba raised important issues regarding the administration, the judicial system, and the administration of Justice.

In an interview on the Ama Ghana Morning Show on Time FM 97.7mhz, the Public Relations Officer for GBA, Lawyer Saviour Kudze, said Justice Atuguba can make suggestion about review of the Judicial Council Composition but there must be a good reason to do so.

Lawyer Saviour Kudze pointed out that, when it comes to the appointment of Judges, three bodies, GBA, Attorney General and Chief Justice make nomination to the Judicial Council for advice.
