GJA Extremely Worried Over Recent Attacks On Journalists
The Ghana Journalist Association (GJA), Ghana Independent Broadcasters Association (GIBA), Private Newspaper and Online Publishers Association of Ghana (PRINPAG) have addressed news conference on the recent attacks on journalists.
Speaking at the news conference,the GJA President,Albert Kwabena Dwumfour said the Association is deeply concerned about the attacks.
Kwabena Dwumfour commended the police and the court for speedy prosecution and conviction of the 16th thugs that invaded UTV premises.
He said though the 16 thugs have been fined but was quick to assert that the charges levelled against them were not enough..
The GJA President appealed to the judiciary to review the charges to do something about it and consider offences against the media.
