VIDEO: Democracy Hasn’t Helped Ghana- Acheampong, Rawlings Regimes Were Better – AFAG Vice Chairman<span class="wtr-time-wrap after-title"><span class="wtr-time-number">1</span> min read</span>

The Vice Chairman for Alliance For Accountable Governance(AFAG), Henry Asante says until the country scrapped the ex gratia under Article 71 of the constitution, Ghanaians will continue to endure economic hardship.

According to Mr Asante, those who witnessed the eras of Ignatius Kutu Acheampong, Edward Akufo-Addo, and Jerry John Rawlings complained of hardship.

But appearing on Time FM’s Ama Ghana Morning Show, he lamented that comparing the eras of the above late Presidents to the current regime, the former were better.

The AFAG Vice Chairman bemoaned that democracy hasn’t helped Ghana saying that it is a good thing but leaders couldn’t plan better.

Mr Asante stressed that all the countries Ghana is mimicking have progressed steadily.
