According to him, the porcupine warriors have taken the sports complex as their second pitch for their home games.

Dr. Kyei gave the admonition in an interview with The Punch Newspaper in Kumasi as a result of vandalism at the Sports Complex.
Background
The Ghana Premier League (GPL) last Sunday October 22, 2023 witnessed nasty scenes during its sixth round matches at some centres.
The Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex was vandalised by fans as seats at the stadium were destroyed during Nations FC’s 2-2 draw with Asante Kotoko.
After the home team was handed a penalty late in the game, the visiting team’s supporters ripped parts of the stadium’s seats off.
Kotoko who was obviously garnering for all three points after Michael Kyei had given them the lead.
But with few minutes for the final whistle to the end of the game, Referee Abdul Latif Qadir awarded a penalty kick to Nations FC which decision irated Kotoko fans.
As a result, Seats in the stands were taken off and thrown onto the pitch by the supporters as they registered their anger at the controversial decision to award the penalty forcing the match officials to halt the game for more than ten minutes.
The home side converted successfully from the spot to tie the game at the Kwame Kyei Sports Complex.
The scene in Kumasi added to similar four hooliganism acts that took place in Dormaa, Tamale and Dawu over the weekend.
