Young people who persistently abuse drugs often experience an array of serious problems, former Chief Executive Officer for Ghana Mental Health Authority, Dr Akwasi Osei has said.
According to Dr Osei, the problems include lungs-related diseases, heart problems and mental torture.
Speaking on the Ama Ghana Morning Show on Time FM on Wednesday he added that drug addiction also leads to cancer.
“You don’t get motivated to go to work if you take drugs and eventually you will be sacked from work,” he said.
