Convenor, Citizen’s Movement For Transparent and Accountable Governance says Ghanaians have lost interest in the Office of the Special Prosecutor.
Alhaji Bello’s statement comes at the back of Kissi Agyabeng’s statement that, he has brought to an end his investigations into an alleged bribery scandal in Parliament involving a supposed wealthy businessman in Ghana.
According to the Special Prosecutor, the main accuser in the case and Member of Parliament for Asante-Akim-North, Andy Appiah Kubi has not been cooperative.
In an interview on Time FM’s Ama Ghana Morning Show, he asked that if accusers have refused to cooperate with the Special Prosecutor for investigations then why was the office created, he quizzed.
Alhaji Bello said the aim of creating the OSP was to fight corruption but due to the happenings Ghanaians have lost interest in the OSP.
