(VIDEO) High Blood Pressure Kills 17 Million People Globally Each Year- GHS<span class="wtr-time-wrap after-title"><span class="wtr-time-number">1</span> min read</span>

 

Statistics show that 17 million people are killed by hypertension globally in relation to non-communicable diseases, Health Promotion Officer at the Ghana Health Services, Felix Frimpong has revealed.

Mr Frimpong said hypertension is a worry for the whole world.

In an interview on the topic: Hypertension – The Silent Killer on the Ama Ghana Show on Time FM in Kumasi, he bemoaned that hypertension is now a lifestyle disease.

He revealed that lack of exercise and bad eating habits are major causes of high blood pressure.

The Health Promotion Officer urged the public to prioritise their health.
