Bono Region Campaign Coordinator for Boakye Agyarko, Darlington Bill Boampong-Bediako has revealed to Kumasi based Time FM that he personally advised Boakye Agyarko not to contest the run-off and he succumbed.
Speaking on Ama Ghana Morning Show on Monday, 28/08/2023, he told host, Kwame Koranteng that they will win if they contested the run-off adding that the camp picked some intelligence hence a surrender.
Mr Agyarko tied with Addai Nimo in Saturday’s NPP Special Delegates Congress for the 5th position.
This u-turn means there will be no run-off between the two candidates to make it up to the elected five to compete in November 4th, 2023.
Addai Nimo and Boakye Agyarko secured 0.98% each representing a tie in the just ended Super Delegates Congress which called for a run off between the two on 26/08/2023.
