Former General Secretary of the Ghana Medical Association (GMA), Dr Titus Bayuo has said that it will not be easy to replace migrating Nurses with unemployed Nurses.
Dr Bayo said that the newly trained Nurses cannot fill the vacuum left by the experienced Nurses.
He was contributing to the topic: “Ghana Health Service To Replace Migrating Health Workers With Over 40,000 Trained Nurses Who Are Not Employed” on the Ama Ghana Show on Time FM.
He argued that the quality of service between the experienced and the trained unemployed nurses are unparallel.
Dr Bayuo urged the Ghana Health Service and the Ministry of Health to address the problems that propel the experienced Nurses to migrate to advance countries.
“The experienced Nurses are drifting to other countries because of poor conditions of service.
