Ghanaian Celebrity John Dumelo, known for his multifaceted career has revealed plans to broaden his agricultural endeavors by venturing into cannabis cultivation.
Dumelo, who has already achieved success in cultivating various crops such as ginger, tubers, grains and poultry farming, recognizes the potential of cannabis as a valuable addition to his portfolio.
His decision comes in the light of the recent passing of the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) Bill, 2023 which was approved by Parliament on July 12 and has now become a law.
Speaking on Time FM’s Ama Ghana Morning Show, he said the passage of the NACOC Bill will be a game changer to the economy.
The renowned Ghanaian actor indicated that the passage of the Bill will create employment for the teeming youth and to also bring foreign exchange.
He urged the Ministry of Interior to ensure the license for cultivating cannabis is owned by Ghanaians.
