A Senior Lecturer at the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS), Dr Patrick Asuming says lack of patriotism education and selfishness are the reasons why state businesses are not able to be sustained.
According to Dr Assuming people appointed to head Government institutions have a mentality that the business belongs to Government so they neglect it.
Speaking on the Ama Ghana Morning Show on Time FM 97.7mhz he said private organizations should be given the mandate to recruit heads of state enterprises.
The UGBS Senior Lecturer said if private organizations are given the mandate to appoint heads of public institutions, they can be fired if the institutions don’t live up to expectations.
