Private Legal Practioner, Nana Obiri Boahen has expressed great disappointment in the 2024 election flagbearer of the NDC, John Mahama.
The NDC Flagbearer, John Mahama on Monday, 15 May 2023 addressing a teeming number of the rank and file of the NDC in Tamale, said he will restore the banks that have been ‘unjustly’ collapsed by Akufo-Addo’s government if he wins power in the 2024 elections.
Lawyer Obiri Boahen retorted that the former President’s statement is inappropriate and unwarranted.
He advised John Mahama on Wontumi TV to be measured by his utterances.
According to Lawyer Obiri Boahen, it was the best decision by the government to revoke the license of some banks and consolidate them.
He disclosed that an uprising would have been staged if the government didn’t embark on that exercise.
