(VIDEO) Mining: Ghana Will Soon Import Water If Reclamation Is Not Enforced – KNUST Senior Lecturer1 min read
Dr Steven Takyi, Senior Lecturer, Planning, Development at KNUST, has anticipated that Ghana will soon import water if reclamation is not enforced at mining sites.
Dr Takyi added that if reclamation is not done, sooner or later, a place to do farming will be problematic.
Speaking on Kumasi based Time FM Morning Show Ama Ghana, he called for reclamation of destroyed lands.
Dr Takyi explained that unfortunately there is no policy for that saying should hold the leaders accountable.
Dr Takyi stressed that the country needs a clear cut policy on illegal mining.
