A Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Joseph Osei-Owusu aka Joe Wise has stated that the Minority’s boycott of Parliament does not affect business of the House.

According to Joe Wise, the quorum Parliament needs for sitting is 93 legislators.

Dr Ato Forson, the Minority Leader after the swearing in of the embattled Assin North MP, Hon James Gyakye-Quayson said the Minority will abstain from Parliamentary business on days James Gyakye Quayson will go to court for a hearing on the criminal proceedings,

Speaking with host Kwame Koranteng on the Ama Ghana Morning Show, he explained that the quorum for making a decision in Parliament is to have 138 Parliamentarians at present and that if all the Majority MPs are present, Parliament can make a decision.
