The Civil Society Organization (CSO) representative for Public Interest and Accountability Committee (PIAC), Richard Kojo Ellimah has said there is no political will in the country to fight galamsey.

He said he is not bemused about the Attorney General, Godfred Dame’s statement that that, Prof. Frimpong Boateng’s report is empty because he knew Godfred Dame would definitely defend the authorities.

Speaking on Ama Ghana’s Morning Show on Time FM, Mr Ellimah said the government’s fight against galamsey is a total fallacy.

“One way to curb galamsey in the country is pure political will adding those involved in galamsey are the politicians.
