Managing Director of the State Transport Company (STC), Nana Akomea says Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia stands tall among his competitors to be NPP Presidential Candidate for the election 2024.

He said the NPP can break the eight years of political regime with Dr. Bawumia.

Nana Akomea explained on the Ama Ghana Morning Show on Time FM 97.7Mhz that during the era of former President Kufour, the NPP had 4 Parliamentary seats out of the 31 seats in the three Northern Regions.

But he noted that the dynamics have changed since Dr. Bawumia became the Vice President.

Nana Akomea who is with Dr Bawumia on his campaign tour to the Ashanti Region told the host of the show, Kwame Koranteng the NPP now has 16 out of the 31 seats.

Nana Akomea affirmed that if Dr. Bawumia becomes the President of the Republic, he will amass more seats for the NPP in the Northern Regions.

He stressed that “if you break NDC’s stronghold and and add the votes to the Eastern and Ashanti Regions, the 8 has been broken.”
