The New Patriotic Party (NPP) will tomorrow, January 27, 2024, conduct the final leg of its internal election to elect parliamentary candidates ahead of the 2024 general election.

About 326 out of the 373 aspirants have been cleared to contest the primaries.

The elections will be conducted in constituencies with sitting MPs.

The Ashanti Regional Minister Hon. Simon Osei – Mensah has advised the aspirants to refrain from engaging in insults and attacks during and after since it is an internal election.

He said after the primaries the biggest battle is the general election and that the party will need everybody on board for the general election.

Hon. Simon Osei – Mensah who is the head of the Ashanti Region Security Council speaking on Time FM’s Ama Ghana Morning Show assured that adequate security measures have been put in place to ensure security, law and order before, during and after the Saturday primaries in the Region.
