Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Simon Osei-Mensah, has thrown a challenge to former President, John Dramani Mahama to point out a major project in the Ashanti Region during his tenure.
Simon Osei-Mensah’s challenge come in a reaction to the former President’s claim during the sensitization of the 24-hour economy walk in Kumasi on Thursday, January, 24th, 2024 that he constructed the Kejetia Market known as ‘Kejetia Dubai’, Atonsu and Asawase markets, et al.
According to the Ashanti Regional Minister who was speaking on the Ama Ghana Morning Show on Time FM 97.7MHz, the phase 1 of the Kejetia market was completed in 2019.
He further dared John Mahama to name a major project he built from January 7th, 2009 to January 6th, 2017.
In addition, he asked the NDC flagbearer to mention a single NPP project he commissioned when he assumed office.
Simon Osei-Mensah said he would only give credit to John Mahama for starting some of the projects.
